MyFundyPal helper: privacy
Last updated 8 November 2026. This page covers the MyFundyPal helper for Chrome. The MyFundyPal service itself is covered by its own privacy notice.
What the helper does
The helper fills in a funder's web form using an application your organisation has already approved in MyFundyPal. You check every field and press submit yourself. It never submits a form, and it never fills in bank details, passwords or declarations.
What it reads and sends
- Your helper key. You paste it in once. It is kept only in your browser's extension storage, and sent to MyFundyPal with each request so we know which organisation you belong to.
- The labels of the form you ask it to fill. When you press Fill, or open a funder's form from MyFundyPal, it reads the questions and field labels on that page (not anything already typed in) and sends them to MyFundyPal, which works out which approved answer belongs in each field.
- The questions on a form, when you ask. If you press Use this form's questions, it reads the questions and field labels on that page and sends them to MyFundyPal, which adds the written-answer questions to the draft you chose. It does not read anything already typed in.
- Your documents, when a form asks for them. When you fill the whole form, the helper reads the labels of any upload fields, and MyFundyPal picks the matching document, such as your accounts or constitution. The helper fetches that file and attaches it to the form in your browser. Bank statements and anything to do with bank details are never attached.
- Moving through the form. To fill a form with several pages, the helper presses buttons such as Next or Continue on that form. It never presses submit, pay, sign or declaration buttons, and it stops at the last page.
- Your approved answers. It fetches them from MyFundyPal and types them into that page.
- The funder's confirmation. After filling, it watches that one tab for the funder's "application received" page. If it sees one, it sends MyFundyPal the fact that the application was sent and any reference number shown, so your tracker updates.
What it does not do
- It does not read pages you have not asked it to fill, or your browsing history.
- It does not sell or share data, show adverts or track you.
- It only talks to myfundypal.com.
Permissions
It asks for access to websites so it can fill forms on any funder's site. It uses that access only on a page you ask it to fill, or a funder's page you open from MyFundyPal, and the tab it is watching for the confirmation.
Who we are
MyFundyPal is run by TechTherapist Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (SC809163). Questions or requests about your data: support@myfundypal.com.
To remove the helper's stored key, press Forget in the helper or remove the helper from Chrome. To stop all access, create a new key in MyFundyPal Settings, which ends the old one.
